¿Tu lector no puede correr KOReader? (Xteink, CrossPoint…) Is your reader unable to run KOReader? (Xteink, CrossPoint…)

Si tu dispositivo no puede instalar el plugin de KOReader — por ejemplo, un Xteink, que usa el firmware CrossPoint en vez de KOReader — en Ajustes → "KOReader nativo / CrossPoint" de la app activa un usuario y contraseña aparte, y úsalos en la pantalla de sincronización de tu lector (suele llamarse "KOReader Sync"). If your device can't install the KOReader plugin — for example, an Xteink, which runs the CrossPoint firmware instead of KOReader — in the app's Settings → "Native KOReader / CrossPoint", turn on a separate username and password, then use them in your reader's own sync screen (usually called "KOReader Sync"). 1. Instalar el plugin en KOReader 1. Installing the plugin in KOReader

¿Dónde descargo el plugin?Where do I download the plugin? ⌄

Toca el botón "Descargar plugin (.zip)" más arriba. Descarga un archivo llamado ArcSync.koplugin.zip que, al descomprimirlo, te da una carpeta llamada ArcSync.koplugin. Esa carpeta completa es la que copias a KOReader — no copies solo los archivos sueltos. Tap the "Download plugin (.zip)" button above. It downloads a file called ArcSync.koplugin.zip which, once unzipped, gives you a folder called ArcSync.koplugin. That whole folder is what you copy into KOReader — not just the loose files inside it.

KOReader funciona igual en Android, Kobo, Kindle, PocketBook, o instalado en una PC/Mac/Linux — y en todos los casos guarda sus plugins dentro de una carpeta llamada koreader/, que aparece directamente en el almacenamiento de tu dispositivo (junto a otras como Download/ o Pictures/). Para encontrarla: abre KOReader sin entrar a ningún libro — la pantalla que ves es su explorador de archivos, con la lista de carpetas de tu almacenamiento. KOReader works the same way on Android, Kobo, Kindle, PocketBook, or installed on a PC/Mac/Linux — and in every case it keeps its plugins inside a folder called koreader/, which shows up directly in your device's storage (alongside others like Download/ or Pictures/). To find it: open KOReader without entering any book — the screen you see is its file browser, listing your storage's folders. Look for koreader/ there, open it, and inside create (or use, if it already exists) plugins/ArcSync.koplugin/.

Usando el explorador de archivos de tu teléfono, ve al almacenamiento compartido, a la carpeta que KOReader ya usa (normalmente koreader/, la misma donde están sus carpetas settings/ y screenshots/), y dentro de ella crea: Using your phone's file manager, go to shared storage, to the folder KOReader already uses (usually koreader/, the same one holding its settings/ and screenshots/ folders), and inside it create:

koreader/plugins/ArcSync.koplugin/

Copia ahí el contenido de la carpeta descomprimida. Si no encuentras esa ruta, abre KOReader sin entrar a ningún libro — esa pantalla es su explorador de archivos, y ahí verás la carpeta koreader/ real que está usando en tu teléfono. Reinicia KOReader después de copiar. Copy the unzipped folder's contents there. If you can't find that path, open KOReader without entering any book — that screen is its file browser, and you'll see the real koreader/ folder it's using on your phone there. Restart KOReader after copying.

Conecta el Kobo por USB a tu computadora. En el almacenamiento del Kobo, crea (si no existe) la ruta: Connect the Kobo to your computer over USB. On the Kobo's storage, create (if it doesn't exist) the path:

.adds/koreader/plugins/ArcSync.koplugin/

Copia ahí dentro el contenido de la carpeta ArcSync.koplugin que descomprimiste. Expulsa/desmonta el Kobo de forma segura y reinicia KOReader (o el Kobo) para que el plugin aparezca. "Sync now" ⌄

Sincroniza ahora mismo, sin esperar al ciclo automático. Útil justo después de leer si quieres ver el cambio reflejado de inmediato en la app o en otro dispositivo.Syncs right now, without waiting for the automatic cycle. Useful right after reading if you want the change reflected immediately in the app or on another device.

"Last sync" ⌄

Muestra cuándo fue la última sincronización exitosa y un resumen (cuántos cambios se enviaron/recibieron). Tócalo para ver el detalle completo.Shows when the last successful sync happened and a summary (how many changes were sent/received). Tap it to see the full detail.

"Server URL" ⌄

La dirección del servidor ArcSync. Ya viene puesta en arcsync.codigoarcano.com — no necesitas tocarla salvo que tú mismo administres otro servidor ArcSync.The ArcSync server's address. Already set to arcsync.codigoarcano.com — you don't need to touch it unless you personally run a different ArcSync server.

"Login (email/password)" ⌄

Inicia sesión con tu cuenta de ArcSync (correo y contraseña). La primera vez te pedirá también un nombre para este dispositivo (por ejemplo "Mi lector"). "Device name" ⌄

"Language/Idioma" ⌄

"Check for updates" ⌄

Compara la versión instalada contra la versión más reciente en el servidor. If there's a newer one, it asks for confirmation before downloading it and replacing the plugin's files — then asks you to restart KOReader.

"Diagnostics" ⌄

"Clear diagnostics log" ⌄

Borra ese registro. No afecta tu progreso ni tus anotaciones, solo el historial de depuración.Clears that log. Doesn't affect your progress or annotations, just the debug history.

"Reset sync cursor (advanced)" ⌄

Solo para casos raros (el servidor se restauró desde una copia de seguridad y este dispositivo quedó "atorado"). Fuerza a este dispositivo a volver a descargar todo desde cero. No lo uses a menos que Diagnostics muestre que algo quedó estancado.Only for rare cases (the server was restored from a backup and this device got "stuck"). "Automatic sync" ⌄

"Sync progress / highlights / notes / bookmarks" ⌄

3. La app móvil 3. The mobile app

¿Cómo me registro en la app?How do I register in the app? ⌄

Abre la app, toca "Regístrate" en la pantalla de inicio, y llena nombre, correo y contraseña (mínimo 8 caracteres). No necesitas escribir ninguna URL de servidor — ya está integrada. Al confirmar, entras directo a tu biblioteca (todavía vacía hasta que sincronices desde KOReader). Open the app, tap "Register" on the start screen, and fill in name, email and password (minimum 8 characters). No server URL to type — it's already built in. Once confirmed, you land straight in your library (still empty until you sync from KOReader).

En la pantalla de inicio, deja el modo en "Iniciar sesión", escribe el mismo correo y contraseña con los que creaste tu cuenta (los mismos que usas en el plugin de KOReader) y toca el botón verde. 4. Vincular un lector sin plugin (Xteink/CrossPoint, vía KOSync) 4. Linking a reader with no plugin (Xteink/CrossPoint, via KOSync)

Esto es para lectores que no pueden correr KOReader (por lo tanto tampoco el plugin ArcSync) pero sí traen su propia sincronización de progreso — el caso más común es Xteink, que usa el firmware CrossPoint. Si tu dispositivo sí corre KOReader de verdad, mejor instala el plugin (pasos 1-2): obtienes highlights, notas y estadísticas, no solo el avance. This is for readers that can't run KOReader (so they can't run the ArcSync plugin either) but do ship their own progress sync — the most common case is Xteink, which runs the CrossPoint firmware. If your device does run real KOReader, install the plugin instead (steps 1-2): you get highlights, notes and stats, not just progress.
